Prayer for the hungry

Loving Provider,

I pray for those who don’t have enough to eat.  You have called everyone to the table lord. Send them nourishment. Fill their bellies and provide them with drinkable water.

Bless all farmers, Lord, that their crops will bear fruit and they will be able to provide for their families and their customers. Bless the food manufacturers that they will be able to produce food safely and cheaply so that it can be purchased by those who need it most.

I pray for supermarket owners that the food may not go bad on their shelves. I pray that households can utilize the food they buy so that no one ever needs to go to sleep hungry.

Lastly, Lord, I pray for those who are spiritually hungry. Their bellies may be full, but their souls are lacking. Be with all of them, provide them with the nourishment they need and help them to find their way safely to you.
